After a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Johnston Street Fiesta returns to Yarra with new dates in February 2022.

The past two years have been a challenging time for so many in our community, but we are thrilled to see events starting to re-commence on the streets of Yarra!

One of Yarra's much-loved cultural events, the Johnston Street Fiesta is a vibrant street festival celebrating the heritage, tradition, music and food of the world's many Spanish speaking countries – the diaspora of which have found a home in Melbourne.

It's the perfect opportunity to come out to Fitzroy and sample delicious food, live music, traditional dance performances, and reconnect with some of our favourite local cafes and restaurants.

We congratulate the Hispanic-Latin American Festival and Cultural Association for persevering through the constantly changing event landscape and extend our thanks to all the volunteers who work tirelessly to ensure the festival's success.

Yarra is proud to continue its relationship with the Johnston Street Fiesta. We invite everyone to head to Fitzroy on the 26 & 27 February weekend to experience all that we love about community street festivals and our Hispanic and Latin communities in Yarra.
